GEOSPATIAL PRACTICE

DESCRIPTION

As a part of our Geospatial Information Technology Team, theGIS Pavement Data Analyst works under the direction of a senior developer ordata architect, performing GIS, and data analysis using MicrosoftSQL Server, T-SQL, DDL, SSIS, stored procedures and function. Most days will be spent in the office analyzinga process or workflow examining complex processes andprocedures and systematically working through each step to determine whereprocesses fail or are ineffective. Additional responsibilities include strong datahygiene and QA/QC; database maintenance, input and tracking of data, proceduresand mitigating bugs or issues throughout the development process.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor s degree incomputer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experiencewith Microsoft SQLServer, T-SQL, DDL, SSIS, stored procedures, function
  • Desired background in data modeling, data analysis, dataoptimization, ETL
  • Exposure to GIS with ability to map data in Esri ArcGIS forQA/QC purposes and review
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software development platform(.NET)
  • Transportationagency pavement inventory a plus
